For the past fourteen years I’ve worked full time as a senior lecturer in initial teacher education at the University of Brighton. Before this I was a primary school teacher. My area of expertise is digital education. I mainly teach student teachers about all areas of the new computing curriculum. I believe in an interdisciplinary approach to teaching and learning – promoting creativity, critical thinking and team work skills through project-based learning.
In my spare time I work in a small EdTech startup team. My focus here is on UX and front end development. Our first venture was www.numeracyready.co.uk and we’re now working really hard on our latest project, www.staffrm.com.
When I find time I play guitar. Recently I’ve been having too much fun with a looper pedal.
